Breeding:
We here at Color bi dsign keep our Persian kitties until 14 to16 weeks of age before allowing them to go to their new homes. There are several reason for this. Most important is the health of the kittens. We want to make sure that they are healthy and have had most of or all of their shots. In addition to this, when showing a kitten they change immensely and we want to make sure when we sell a kitten we are doing our best to sell a show kitten as close to the CFA standard as possible and that we sell a pet quality Persian kitten as a pet. This takes time to evaluate.
Buying your First Persian Show Kitty:
Buying your first show kitty is difficult, to say the least. There is an enormous turn over in Persian cat breeders. In my own opinion they are Failing to achieve on the show circuit, because the breeder that they have purchased their show kitty from has misled them about the quality of the Persian kitten. Another issue is that unknowing customers are being sold a Persian kitten of Poor Health (eg Leukemia)
New comers are also often treated less than civil at a Cat shows by other exhibitors, which is truly sad and poor sportsmanship. This is an issue that CFA is working on to make new exibitors feel more comfortable. But all in all there are many amazing people in the CFA. Many will become life long friends. As the saying goes, don't let one bad apple spoiled the whole bunch. For every bad person there are five good ones, who love what they do and would help a new comer in anyway possible.
Color Bi Dsign produces only CFA Registered Bi Color Persian kittens, Color bi Dsign does more than just breeding Persian cats. We have studied genetics to be able to achieve the results that we get. Our kittens are carefully orchestrated by choosing just the right Dam and Sire to create a quality kitten.
